Obituary of Byron Ronald Wentzell

Byron Ronald Wentzell 67, Wentzell Lake, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of Reta Evangeline (Zinck) Wentzell, West Northfield and the late Ronald Ralph Wentzell. Prior to retirement he was an employee of 46 years as a mechanic with Highliner Foods, Lunenburg. He was a member of New West Pine United Church, Pinehurst and honorary member of the West Northfield and District Fire Department. He was a caring, loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends over the years where he loved to laugh, tell stories and enjoyed all. Byron will be dearly missed by his mother, Reta; his loving wife of 43 years, Faye (Wile); daughter, Julie; son, Jamie (Alana); he was affectionately known as Papa Byron to grandchildren, Casey and Grace; brother, Stuart. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013 in Bridgewater United Church. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating with reception to follow in the C.E. Centre of Bridgewater United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Shore Regional Hospital Chemotherapy unit, New West Pine United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
