Obituary of Marion Albertena Wilson

Marion Albertena Wilson 1924 – 2013, Age 89 passed away December 21, 2013 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater after battling Cancer. Born in Parkdale, Marion was the daughter of the late Stedman and Lucy Ann (Rafuse) Zwicker. In her younger years she worked various jobs which included a cook in a lumber camp and an apple farm in the Annapolis Valley. In 1951 she married Eric and moved to East Dalhousie and became a mother and home maker. Marion was an avid member of the East Dalhousie Baptist Church and a former member of the Springfield Firettes. Marion loved life, was very family oriented and always put family and friends first. She loved to bake and share her delicious goodies whether it be with family or for community events. She was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Marion is survived by her husband of 62 years, Eric; sons Arthur (Janice), East Dalhousie; Maynard (Cathy), Meisners Section; daughter Jocelyn (Paul) Mailman, Timberlea; Grandchildren Rhonda Morris, Rayanne (Jason) Guidry, Ryan Wilson, Tyler Wilson; Great grandchildren Kaylea, Devon and Taylor Morris; brothers Gilbert (Barbara), Lincoln (Liz), sister-in-law Betty Zwicker all of Ontario, sister-in-law Vivian Zwicker, Kentville along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Marion was predeceased by her sister Jennie, brothers Lloyd in infancy, Donald, Maurice, Aubrey, Paul and Eric. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Monday December 23 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday December 24 in East Dalhousie Baptist Church, Rev. Lloyd Gillieo officiating. A private family burial will follow in the East Dalhousie Baptist Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
