Michael Wayne Anthony
61, passed away peacefully at SSRH (Bridgewater) with family by his side on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014. Born in Bridgewater in 1953 and raised in Conquerall Bank, he was the son of Naomi (Langille) Anthony and the late Carmon Anthony. He was married to Carol (Reid) Anthony for 39 lively years. He will be remembered first and foremost for his love for his five precious grandchildren and dogs, as well as his love of the outdoors: camping, 4 wheeling, and going for drives in his mustang, along with hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and broomball in his earlier years. Mike started his career working with his father, mother and two brothers in the family plumbing and heating business 42 years ago. He was a dedicated fire fighter with Conquerall Bank Fire Department for many years. In recent years, Mike spent his summers being the life of the party at LaHave River Campground. Mike will be sadly missed by: his mother, Naomi; wife Carol (Reid), son Ryan (Rachel), Conquerall Bank; daughter Lori (Nick) Cosman, Kingston Ontario; brothers Gregory (Carol), Hebbville and Kirk (Debbie), Conquerall Bank; grandchildren Tyler, Nolan and Kayla Anthony, and Hunter and Raina Cosman; dogs Jesse, Dylan and Copper, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial service will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., Rev. Paul Jensen officiating, followed by burial at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Conquerall Bank. Reception to follow at Conquerall Bank Fire Hall. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Conquerall Bank Fire Department, Cancer Society, Health Services Foundation of the South Shore, SHAID Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice. Special thanks go to Dr. Dwyer and Dr. Robertson, the porters, nursing and housekeeping staff at SSRH, and all of our friends and family for their support.
