Obituary of Dawn Vasques

Dawn Marie Vasquez 31, Windsor Ontario, formerly of Chelsea, Lunenburg County passed away suddenly on November 26, 2007. Born in Bridgewater, Dawn was the daughter of Richard and Sheila (Slauenwhite) Henley, Chelsea. She graduated from Parkview Education Centre, Bridgewater in 1994. She attended Acadia University, Wolfville where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree and continued her education at the University of Windsor receiving her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Dawn was a social worker with the Windsor Essex Children's Aid Society for 3 years and a former employee of both the Hiatus House for abused women, as well as the Salvation Army. Dawn is survived by her husband Jose, daughter Mila Grace, son Mateo Joaquin, Devin Bellefleur, and Cheyenne Shepley, all of Windsor, Ontario; brother, Dwayne (Maria Hushovd) Toronto; maternal grandmother, Mary (Heim) Slauenwhite and paternal grandmother, Mildred (Wessell) Henley, Chelsea; dear daughter-in-law of Rafael and Ana Vasquez, Windsor and sister-in-law to Manuel (Jenny Veliz) and James Vasquez. She was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Bernard Slauenwhite and paternal grandfather, Borden Henley, Chelsea Visitation will be held Sunday from 7 to 9pm with prayers being offered at 8pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral mass will be held 10:30am Monday in St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, Msgr. William Wamboldt officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Chelsea.
