Obituary of Irvin Besen

Irvin Besen (1923 - 2013) After a long and inventive life, Irv Besen passed away suddenly on Nov 14, 2013 in Bridgewater, NS. An avid sailor and creative thinker who was often far ahead of his time, Irv remained active in his local yacht club community even after his sailing days were over and was engrossed in the development of a new theory of mind right up to the time of his passing. He found joy in his recently discovered interest in mindfulness and meditation, in his many friends from every chapter of his remarkable life, in his intellectual pursuits and in his family. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Joan and Ellen, his grandchildren, Sunny, Bree and Tamar, his extended family, his dear friend, Jacqui Nadeau and many other close friends. A memorial gathering will held at The Lahave River Yacht Club, LaHave, on Sunday, July 13 at 3:30 pm. Rev. Dale Gray officiating.
