G. Barrie Brenton If you’re about to throw away that old sports collectable card, stop. Consider: G. Barrie Brenton of Bridgewater who entered eternal life on November 12, 1953 in Saint John, NB to the late Gerald and S.Venita (Connell) Brenton. Having passed away peacefully in his home on February 14, 2014, his spirit is carried on by his common law partner Karen Ann Jensen; daughter Claudia (James) Weagle, Bridgewater; son Douglas Brenton, Toronto; sister Venita-Lynn (Robert Watt) Theriault, Timberlea and a numerous list of extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. Barrie loved sports. Many people will remember him from that bowling alley, out on that golf course or having a casual conversation about every possible sporting stat - he knew it all. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons during his 60 years. The kindhearted and quick-witted self he possessed was well respected by so many in the community. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday February 18th in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater and where the funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday February 19th, Rev. Alvin Westgate officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date. Family flowers only, please. Donations are request to go to the family to help them in this most difficult time.
