Obituary of Norman Ernest Conrad

Norman Ernest Conrad Age 82 of Farmington, Lunenburg Co. It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to our loving dad, grandfather and great-grandfather who passed away Monday, July 28, 2014. He was the son of the late Ervin and Katie Conrad. Norman loved life immensely and everyone he met. Trucking was his passion. He enjoyed working with the public, whether it was hauling a load of gravel, firewood or delivering Christmas trees. Norman and his late wife had a love for camping which Norman continued at the Plantation Campground until a month ago. Norman is survived by his daughter Wendy (Graham) MacKay; sons Wayne (Katherine), Gary (Pam) and Michael (Maggie). Grandchildren Corey (Natalie) Conrad, April (Nick) Whynot, Ashley (Peter) denHollander, Cody (Jill Henley) MacKay, Stacy (Stephen) Myra and Thomas Conrad; great grandchildren Tucker, Jack, Jase, Liam and Emily. He was predeceased by his lifetime love, Noreen (Lohnes), daughter Shelley Lynn; sisters Eleanor Ritcey and Phyllis Conrad. Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2014 from 7-9 pm at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2 pm at Barss Corner Baptist Church, Rev. Sam Jess officiating. Private family burial will follow. Family flowers only please.
