Obituary of Barry Laurie Demone

Barry Laurie Demone 65, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away at home on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Born in Cherryfield, he was a son of the late Laurie and Elva (Robar) Demone. Barry was always ready to lend a helping hand including teaching his younger brother Glenn how to use a power saw. Barry loved gardening. He held many jobs over his working career from heavy machinery operator to woodsman; it was the work of a woodsman that unfortunately cut his working career short. Barry loved country music and had great pleasure over the many dart games at the New Germany legion. Surviving are his sisters, Janis (Maurice) Hétu, PQ; Ginny Penney, Marsha Demone, Theresa Simms, all of New Germany; brother, Glenn (Joanne) Demone, Scarsdale; Joel (Debbie) Demone, Crousetown. No visitation at the funeral home by personal request. Keeping with Barry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at later date in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany. No flowers by request. Honorary bearers will be Jarret Hétu, Jarvis Hétu, Larry Simms, Colby Simms, Ryan Demone and Ryan Buck.
