Obituary of Juanita C. Garron

Juanita C. (daSilva) Garron Age 89, of Mississauga formerly of Pinehurst, Lunenburg Co., died on Monday, December 22, 2014 in Leisure World Nursing Home, Mississauga. Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Alma (Covey) daSilva. She worked in the entertainment industry as a country and gospel music singer. Her career took her on many trips to Nashville Tennessee. She had received a certificate from the Country Music Hall of Fame giving her the title of ``Mother of Country Music``. Surviving are her brother, Durwood daSilva, Petite Riviere; nieces, Yvonne daSilva, Bridgewater; Anne-Marie daSilva, Florida and nephew, Durwood daSilva Jr., Halifax. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Beverley daSilva; brother, Francisco daSilva. A public graveside service will be held at a later date in Pinehurst Community Cemetery, Pinehurst. Rev.
