Obituary of Sherman Hyrtle Hiltz

Sherman Hyrtle Hiltz 82, Brampton, Ontario formerly of The Forties, Lunenburg Co., passed away on September 29, 2014 in the Greenway Retirement Village, Brampton. Born in The Forties, he was a son of the late Richard and Hulda (Leopold) Hiltz. Sherman and his late wife, Margaret enjoyed life. Numerous vacations to the Caribbean, Hawaii and their favourite of all to Nova Scotia were taken. He was an avid card player, snowmobiler and nature lover. He loved to tell stories and reminisce from the time he was a young lad until his passing. Surviving are his brother, Vance, New Ross; sister, Virginia VanOoyen, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife the former Margaret Rafuse; sister, Muriel (Collicutt); brothers, Ronald and Clair. Visitation 2-4 p.m., Sunday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday in Parkdale – Maplewood Emmanuel Baptist Church, Parkdale. Rev. Sam Jess officiating. Interment will follow in the Parkdale Community Cemetery, Parkdale.
