Obituary of Michael Curphey

Michael Rodney Curphey 55, of Bridgewater, passed away August 27, 2001, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Halifax. Born in Douglas, Isle of Man, Great Britain, he was the son of the late George and Irene (Quirk) Curphey. He earned a degree in chemical engineering from the University of New Brunswick and owned his own consulting firm with a specialization in environmental engineering for over 20 years. He is survived by his sons Neal and Jonathan, both of Bridgewater; and a brother John of Maryland, USA. He was predeceased by his wife Ingrid and a son Rodney. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A public graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, in the New Cornwall Memorial Gardens, Middle Cornwall, with Rev. Lloyd Gillieo officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
