Obituary of Aubrey Wagner
Aubrey Henry Wagner
91, of New Germany, Lunenburg County, passed away July 24, 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Feltzen South on October 11, 1915, he was a son of the late Jeremiah and Therisia (Mosher) Wagner. His family moved to Farmington where he received his grade 11 in a one room school. He joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on Oct. 11, 1938, later stationed in Lethbridge, Alberta and Halifax. After leaving the force, he worked in the office at the Mersey Paper Company in St. Margaret’s Bay for 25 years. Retiring from office work at the age of 65, he found a new hobby of creating beautiful cross stitch and needle point tapestries and at the age of 80 had completed 230 beautiful tapestries. He resided in Riverside Apartments, New Germany for 20 years and was later cared for by Eva Ramey in her home in Cookville. He is survived by his brothers-in-law, Earl Rhodenizer, Farmington and Warren Rhodenizer, Cookville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Phyllis Rhodenizer, Elsie Rhodenizer, Violet Sperry, Hilda Silver; brothers, Carl, Isaiah, Percey, Albert, Leo, Collins and Aubrey in infancy; and his wife Margaret Wagner (Allen) There will be no visitation by request; a memorial service will be held 2pm Friday July 27 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany, 4895 route 10 New Germany, Rev Larry Ehrhardt officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Germany. Family flowers only please, memorial donations may be made in Aubrey’s memory to the South Shore Regional Hospital or the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Germany.
