Obituary of John William Patterson

John William Patterson 60, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at home. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late George William and Anne Elizabeth (Harmsworth) Patterson. John was a proud husband, father, grandfather and biker. He was a past employee of Highliner Foods, Lunenburg; Midtown Security, Bridgewater, Aramark Services (Michelin), Bridgewater. He was a member of the Gate Keepers, South Shore Motorcycle club. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Vivian (Hamm) Patterson; daughter, Tanya Patterson (Jamie Burgoyne), Barss Corner; sons, Shawn (Niki) Patterson, Billy (Denise) Silver, Wally Silver, all of Bridgewater; grandchildren, John William Patterson, Jesse James Patterson, Justice Vivian Patterson, Julia Dorothy Patterson, Ryder Basil Patterson, Rori Anne Patterson, Billy Cook, Erik Cook, Angelis Silver; sisters, Mary (Ken) Corbett, Maryland; Evelyn Hunt, Sackville; Serena Patterson, Bridgewater; brothers, Robert “Bobby” (Joan) Patterson, Walter (Wanda) Patterson, all of Bridgewater; many nieces, nephews and brothers of the Gate Keepers Motorcycle club. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Heather Lee Cook. Visitation 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 18 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Public graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 204 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Family flowers only please, donations may be made to the family.
