Obituary of Beth Anne Penney

Beth Anne Penney Age 49, Springfield, Anna. Co., passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, surrounded by her family. Born, July 13, 1965 in Halifax, she was a daughter of Frank and Ruth (Crouse) Penney. She grew up in Middle Sackville and Merigomish, Pictou County. She became employed with Michelin Tires, Granton plant and then later moved to the Bridgewater plant where she was still currently an employee. Beth has been an avid biker since her teen years. She enjoyed long distance motor cycle travels and adventures, including endurance rallies. She has been a director the South Shore H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapter for the last four years. Surviving are her parents, Frank and Ruth Penney, Springfield; daughter, Tara Freeman, Springfield; son, Tyler Freeman, Springfield; brothers, Jack (Joan) Penney, Springfield; Eric (Jeanette) Penney, Pleasantville; a niece, two nephews and many biker brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., this evening in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany. Service of Remembrance will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield. Rev. Lloyd Gillieo officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Baptist Church, South Shore Regional Hospital, Canadian Red Cross, Annapolis County Palliative Care Services.
