Obituary of Harris Maurice Raimey

Harris Maurice Raimey Age 93 of New Germany, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Simpsons Corner, he was the son of the late Peter and Alice (Seamon) Ramey. During his working years, he was employed with Bowater Mersey as a woodsman. He was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. Harris was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are daughters, Linda (Allie) MacKay, Pinehurst; Dianne (Bruce) Churchill, New Germany; son, David (Barbara), Pinehurst; Henry, New Germany. Grandchildren, David, Anne, Richard, Kevin, Stephen, Norman, Darrell, Corey, Lori; great grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Nicholas, Sarah, Paul, Scott, Samuel, Carly, Kadie, Catherine, Christopher and Sophia; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Phyllis Bernice Drew; infant daughter, Sharon; sisters, Inez Bridges, Beatrice Cail, Mona Russell, Agnes Brown; brothers, Swazey, Tyler, Eldred and Lemage. No visitation by request. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will follow for immediate family members only in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, New Germany.
