Obituary of Allister Gerald Russell

Allister Gerald "Buddy" Russell 73, East Dalhousie, Kings Co., passed away at home on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Born in Cherryfield, he was a son of the late Frankie and Goldie (Robar) Russell. Surviving are his common law wife, Lillian Oickle, East Dalhousie; his children, Shellylynn (Daniel) Noonan, North River; Arden Russell, Edmonton; Tracy (Mervin) Mailman, Chelsea; step sons, Michael Oickle (Teresa Robar), Springfield; Matthew Oickle (Stephanie Brown), New Ross; sister, Avis Dorey, Western Shore; brother, Eric Russell, North River; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Delbert and a grandson. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service of Remembrance will be held 11 a.m., Thursday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River with private family burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. David Whynot officiating.
