Age 86, Hebbville, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Nineveh, he was a son of the late Hosah and Cynthia (Tufts) Smith. Surviving are his daughter, Debora (Gary) Oickle, Milton; son, Darryl (Christina) Smith, Hebbville; grandchildren, Julie Oickle (Matthew Brown), Liverpool; Jackie (Dwayne) Hurshman, Liverpool; great grandchildren, Michael Francis, Jerry Leopold, Austin Leopold, Callum Hurshman; sisters, Lorna (Clayton) Corkum, New Germany; Blossom Weir, Bonnie Mailman, both of Caledonia; Barbara (Gilbert) Faulkenham, Maplewood; Shirley Mosher, Western Shore; brothers, Clary (Jennie) Smith, Hebbs Cross; William (Anna) Simpson, Simpsons Corner; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former, June Mary Dorey; son, Kevin; brother, Seldon Smith. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 28 in Hemford Community Cemetery. Pastor Bethe Benjamin-Cameron officiating. Flowers accepted, donations may be made to SHAID Animal Shelter, the SPCA or Salvation Army.
