Obituary of Jean R. Helen Streatch

Jean R. Helen (Doig) Streatch It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Streatch announces her passing on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at home. She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Doig of Auchenblae, Scotland. She was predeceased by her young sons, Andrew and John; as well as her second husband, Carl F. Streatch. They had lived in Green Bay for 26 years. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Doig, Bridgewater; her beloved granddaughter, Kirstie, Halifax, her son, Iain Doig, Halifax and family; stepson, Gregory Streatch (Lisa) and family, Lower Sackville; stepdaughter, Lesley Streatch, Halifax. She will be greatly missed by her beloved cats. Jean had a lifelong love of art and was coordinator and later Director of Anna Leonowens Gallery at NSCAD. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Petite Riviere. Rev. Oliver Osmond officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dalhousie Medical Neurological Research.
