Aubrey Clyde Thompson
99 passed away October 2, 2014 at Chester where he was residing at Shoreham Village Home for Special Care. Born in West Clifford, he was a son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Hewey) Thompson. He lived in West Clifford most of his life, but most recently due to ailing health moved to Shoreham Village. He had a great love for animals, especially his team of oxen. He farmed and worked in the woods for many years. He later worked for the Dept. of Natural Resources. He is survived by his wife of 75 years Helen (Meisner); sister Nellie, Portland, Maine; son Bernard (Marilyn) Thompson of Grand Valley ON, two daughters Norma (Ervin) Oickle of New Minas and Connie (Lloyd) Crouse of West Clifford. 11 grandchildren Stephen, Sherri, Michelle, Laura, Kandy, Betsy, Jeff, Julie, Scott, Krista, Meghan and 25 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by son Gary (Susan) Thompson and granddaughter Katherine (Stephen) Whitney. He was predeceased by 9 sisters and 4 brothers. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home Bridgewater. No flowers by request, private burial at a later date in the Bakersettlement Cemetery, Bakersettlement. of Aubrey, donations may be made to Shoreham Village Home for Special Care.
