Obituary of Diane Whynot

Diane Lucille Whynot With heart-felt sadness, her loving husband and adoring children announce the passing of Diane Lucille Whynot on Saturday 14 July in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. She was born in Bridgewater and was a daughter of Francis (McCarthy) and the late Raymond Croft. She was a kind, caring, thoughtful family member and friend who was generous with her time and talents. Following retirement, she was able to devote time to the hobbies she enjoyed. She took pride in her home and flower gardens and will be dearly missed by her quilting group and as treasurer for the Conquerall Mills Lutheran Parish. Willing to aid anyone in need, she also took joy in helping others. Her faith in God and love for her family and friends has guided her throughout life. Her children, though living far away, will miss her as a trusted part of their lives, close to their hearts, a supportive and understanding mother. But her greatest joys were her grandchildren, she had many plans to enrich and enjoy their young lives. Although she left us too soon from her battle with cancer, we are comforted by the memories of our many happy times spent together. She was a very special lady to all who know her.She is survived by her Husband Wayne Whynot; sons Jeffery (Shelly), Oshawa, Ontario; Troy, Toronto, Ontario; Chris (Nichol), Edmonton, Alberta and Scott (Christa Bolyea), Berry, Ontario; mother, Francis, step father Dean Harman; sister Barbara “Bunny” (Ronald) Croft, Middlewood; brother Terry (Donna) Croft, Crousetown; grandchildren Tynisha, Connor and Ava; nieces Janice, Jillian, Kimberly and Britney; nephews Jamie and Jerome; special friend Diane Zwicker. Visitation will be held 7 to 9pm Monday July 16 at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Camperdown, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Family flowers only, memorials in Diane’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society to fight ovarian cancer.
