Obituary of Raymond Stephen Wile

Raymond Stephen Wile Age 89, Hebbville, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Russell and Sadie (Weagle) Wile. After completing grade 12 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. After the war he attended Acadia University and then continued his education with the Nova Scotia Technical College where he graduated with Civil Engineering. He and his wife moved to Presque Isle, Maine where they lived for 30 years as he pursued his career in engineering. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Hebb) Wile; daughter, Raeann (Michael) Hodgson; sons, Andrew (Cheryl) Wile, New Hampshire; Stephen Wile, Arizona; grandchildren, Mark, Melanie, Michael, Kenneth, Cassie, Chase, Kierstynn; great grandchildren, Alexander and Autumn; sister, Sally Snook, Bridgewater. He was predeceased by brothers, Keith and Berleigh. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Rev. Dr. Brian MacArthur officiating. Interment will follow in Hebbville Cemetery, Hebbville. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
