Obituary of Guy Everard Bush

Guy Everard Bush Age 100 passed away on December 19, 2015 in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born on the LaHave Islands, he was a son of the late John and Sarah (Bush) Bush. Guy began Lobster fishing at the age of 14 until heart trouble made him give it up at age 51. Then for 14 years he worked in the office of the Bush Island fish plant until retiring at the age of 65 at which time he then began building model boats until the age of 82. He was known the world over for his models of the Bluenose and other tall ships. He is survived by his daughters Ramona (Chris) Warnell, Crescent Beach; Sylvia (Steven Crouse) Bush, Lower Northfield; sister Sylvia Beck, Bridgewater; grandchildren Krystin and Wyatt Warnell, Nicholas Knickle along with several nieces and nephews. Guy was predeceased by his wife Joyce; sister Juanita Bush; brothers Bain, Calvin, Mervin and John Bush. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Monday December 21 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday December 22 in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Hill Cemetery, West Dublin.
