Obituary of Opal Cecilia Bush

Opal Cecilia Bush Age 99, Hebbville, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Q.E. II Hospital, Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Rhodes Corner, she was a daughter of the late Morton and Adelaide (Falkenham) Barry. Mom started life in Rhodes Corner and at the age of 3 years moved to Dayspring where she lived for 69 years, she then moved to Hebbville until she went to Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg. She was a member of the first grade 12 graduating class of Bridgewater High. After graduating she attended Provincial Normal College and Kings College. Her teaching career took her to West Dublin where she met “the love of her life”, then to Conquerall Bank and Western Shore. Mom always put her family first and was a caring, loving daughter, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn (Peter) Brandal, Middle Sackville; son, George, Hebbville; grandson, Kjell Brandal, Middle Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold; brother, Dalton. Visitation 7-9 p.m., Sunday, June 21 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, and where funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday. Rev. Paul Jensen officiating with a private family burial to follow in the Dayspring Cemetery, Dayspring. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church or charity of choice.
