Obituary of Winifred Short

Winifred G. Short, R.N. Of Bridgewater, passed away April 3, 2002 in the Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in Harbour Breton, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Magistrate William E. and Mary (Fiander) Parsons. Winifred was a graduate of the St John’s General Hospital, Newfoundland. She is survived by her daughters, Ruth E. Canessa, Yarmouthport, MA.; Joan M. Bardon-Downie, Chester; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin J. Short M.D. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A funeral service will be held 11am Saturday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. George MacLean officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only.
