Obituary of Jean Anne Covert

Jean Anne Covert (Frost) Of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia passed away at the age of 60 on March 9, 2015 in the VG Hospital in Halifax, NS. Jean was born on August 22, 1954 in Kingston, Ontario. She is the daughter of the late William Douglas Frost and the late Jean Margaret (Donnahee). Jean is survived by her 4 children: Eric (Allison) Covert, Halifax; Maggie (Jared) Vaughan, Timmins, ON; Blake Covert (Bronwyn Arundel), Halifax; Annie Covert, Halifax; Grandchildren Andrew Covert, Mary, Elizabeth, Jonah, Hannah and Daniel Vaughan, Luka Arundel; Brothers and Sister Stephen Frost (Maggie), Gary Frost; Jacqueline O'Neill (Richard Bridgeo); Nephews and Nieces Lantz, Wade, Jenny and their mother Vicci, Christina and her mother Lauretta. Jean is predeceased by her brother Darryl Frost Jean was an inspiration to many people - getting her GED and going on to Dalhousie University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology while raising 4 children as a single mother. Jean was a wonderful Mom, Nana, Sister and Friend to many. She will be very much missed. Special thanks to South Shore Regional Hospital and the Oncology and Palliative Care teams at the VG Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Visitation will be held 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., Friday March 13 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bridgewater follow by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., Bishop Ryan Fraser officiating. A private family interment will follow later in the day in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax. Family flowers only by request.
