Obituary of Merville Reginald Drew

Merville Reginald Drew Age 87 of New Germany passed away Wednesday March 11, 2015 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born in Stanburne he was a son of the late George and Laura (Moore) Drew Merv had a love for camping and enjoyed horse shoes, bowling and playing a good game of cards. He is survived by his sons Michael (Patti), New Germany; Doug (Lynne), Riverport; stepdaughters Bonnie (Rex) Veinot, Maplewood; Cathy Neal, Toronto; sisters Hazel Tufts, New Germany; Vella Ramey, Simpsons Corner; grandchildren Ashley Drew, Venessa Lambert, Ryan Veinot; step grandchildren Josh and Nikki Backman; great granddaughter Jocelyn Drew-Veinot; great grandsons Ryder and Hayden Veinot, Marik Lambert; step great grandchildren Myla, Marcus and Jax. Merv was predeceased by his wife Lois; sisters Phyllis Ramey, Dorothy Eisnor; brothers Carmon, Ford, Ellis, Marshall, Hermon, Boyd, Lorimer and Weldon; granddaughter Natasha Veinot; Great granddaughter Hailey Drew-Veinot. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Thursday March 12 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday March 13, also in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany, Pastor Sam Jess officiating. Burial will follow in Barss Corner Community Cemetery.
