Marguerite A. Emino
Age 89 of Simpson Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday December 8, 2015 peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Born December 4, 1926 in Simpson Corner, she was the daughter of the late Nellie (Turner) and Armand Mailman, Hemford. Marguerite was devoted to her husband Marcel, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She supported her husband in operating Emino’s Garage for 37 years, doing everything from bookwork, pumping gas and driving tow trucks, whatever was necessary to run a successful business. Hence, the saying: “behind every successful man is a good woman”. Besides supporting the business, she also drove the mail for Canada Post. Marguerite along with her husband of 69 years was an avid NASCAR fan, devoted to the number 3 and 88. She is predeceased by her husband Marcel; son Barry and daughter Jacklyn Mader; sister June MacLeod of Liverpool and Betty Briggs of Halifax. Survived by son Jerry (Linda), Simpson Corner; daughters Joye (Tommy) Kaulback, Caledonia; Jill (Fred) Neville, Greenwood; Jolene (Brian) Mailman, Hemford; half-sister Sandra (Mervin) Oickle, Milton. A profound thank you to Dr. Jim McLean; son Jerry and his wife Linda; Shelly Reeves (VON); Noleen Reilly (Palliative Care); for their care, kindness and compassion. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany. No visitation at the funeral home by personal request. A private graveside service has been held at Hillside Cemetery, Simpson Corner, Rev. David Whynot officiated. No flowers by request.
