Obituary of Greta Woodworth

Greta Marion Woodworth (Bush) Passed away at the South Shore Regional Hospital August 15, 2007 with her family at her bedside. Greta was the daughter of the late Arthur Clarence and Olive Grace (Wolf) Bush. Greta is survived by her sons Bruce (Lorna); John, Robert (Glenda); Keith (Karen); all of Bridgewater and daughters Shirley (Calvin) Mulock, Rhodes Corner; Marion (Glenwood) Lowe, Auberndale; Carolee (ex- Stewart), Bridgewater; 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren and one brother Lawson (Sally) Bush. Greta was predeceased by her husband John Gafton, daughter Olive, 8 brothers and 4 sisters. Greta joined the LAPM Halifax #1 June 1974, joined the Bridgewater Swastika #6 June 12, 1976. Greta was a Past Noble Grand. Greta mustered in service of LAPM Canton Halifax #1 May 1974, Institution of LAPM Canton Swastika #6 Bridgewater June 12, 1976. Greta received her I00F Rebekh Atlantic 52 year jewel. Greta was a member of the Declaration of Chivalry; Grand Lady of the Royal Purple; Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bridgewater Branch No 24 Ladies Auxiliary. Greta was honored with her 50 year jewel. Greta’s greatest joy in life was her family and good friends. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held Saturday August 18, 2007 at 1:30 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. A private family burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
