Obituary of Helen Gene Hebb

Helen "Sue" Gene Hebb Age 81, of Hebbville, passed away peacefully December 18, 2015 at home. We are comforted in knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord. Born in Pleasantville, she was the daughter of the late Bradford and Lugene (Richards) Haughn. Mom worked as a telephone operator until she married the love of her life, Gerald Hebb of Indian Garden Farms. She quickly grew to love farm life and spent countless hours over many years working at the Farmer’s Market. Everyone loved mom as she always welcomed you with a ready smile, lovely chat and helpful hands. Mom had a passion for gardening and loved spending time creating beautiful flower beds for all to enjoy. She was an avid bowler in her earlier years and won many awards for her high average. She was also an incredible mother and grandmother and loved us all with such warmth and passion. Her grandchildren adored her and visits to the farm to see nanny were always a big part of their lives. Mom was involved in many organizations over the years including Awanas, Canadian Girls In Training (CGIT), Brownies, Ladies Auxiliary of the Hebbville Fire Department, Christian Women’s Group and was a past member of the choir at Pleasantville Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Glen (Marilyn) of Hebbville, daughters Debbie (Cynthia) Hebb, Hebbville, Linda (Charlie) Freeman, Greenfield, Cindy (John) Lord, Moncton and Mary (Dr. Lyle) Weston, Moncton, as well as 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers Robert (Cecilia), Paul (Jean), and sisters Catherine, Marion and sisters-in-law Muriel & Shirley. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald; grandson, Craig Freeman and brothers Harris and Cyril Haughn. Mom is being cremated and her funeral will be held 2:00P.M., Sunday May 15 in Pleasantville Baptist Church, Interment will follow in Hebville Cemetery.
