Obituary of Allan Leslie

Allan Leslie Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the age of 80. Born in Invernesshire, Scotland, son of the late Jessie Anne (Lamont) and Stewart James Leslie. Allan was a devoted and loyal husband, father and Granda and will be forever missed. He will be remembered for his contributions to the formation of the Bridgewater Triple A Hockey League as well as to Minor, Junior and Senior Hockey and Soccer leagues in Lunenburg County. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A private service for immediate family members and his shipmates with the Royal Canadian Naval Association will be held at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with Padre Alvin Westgate officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society.
