Obituary of Lloyd Ellis Lohnes

Lloyd Ellis Lohnes Age 92, Voglers Cove, Lunenburg Co., sailed beyond the sunset on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Cherry Hill he moved to Voglers Cove at the age of 7. He was the eldest son of the late Harold and Mary (Conrad) Lohnes. Surviving are his sister, Jean Lohnes, New York City, NY; foster brother, David Porteous (Debbie Hirtle), Voglers Cove. Known to the family as Uncle Lloyd he is survived by nieces, Janis (Mack), Pamela (Phil), Patricia (Gordon); nephew, Harold; great nieces and nephews, David, Christopher, Timothy, Malcolm, Kaylie and James; great-great niece, Violet. He was predeceased by his brother, William. Visitation 7-9 p.m., Friday, June 19 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20 in St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Voglers Cove, Rev. Oliver Osmond officiating. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Voglers Cove; reception to follow at the United Communities Fire Hall in Cherry Hill.
