Obituary of Joan Margaret Maughan

Joan Margaret Maughan Age 77 of Bridgewater passed away Saturday January 31, 2015 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born in Dartmouth, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Hilda (Horne) Eddy. Joan is survived by her daughters Marie (Bruce) Reid, Bridgewater; Elizabeth (Clarence) Thompson, New Canada; Mary (Alan) Conrad, New Germany; grandchildren Leeman (Sherri) Reid, Porters Lake; Jeremy (Kimberly) Reid, Middle Sackville; Stephen (Megan) Thompson, Lower Branch; Scott Thompson, New Canada; brothers Cliff (Sally) Eddy, Ontario; Don (Bonnie) Eddy, Dartmouth; sisters Marie (Lloyd) Edwards and Betty Eddy all of Eastern Passage along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leaman; twin sister Jeanette brothers Melvin and Jim Eddy and sister Faye O’Brien. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday February 3rd at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday February 4th from Sweeny’s, Rev. Paul Jensen officiating, followed by a private family interment in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater.
