Obituary of Harold Arenburg

of Harold Lyton Arenburg 82 of New Germany passed away at the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany on Sunday January 13, 2008. Born in New Canada on August 11, 1925 he was the son of the late Robert and Eve (Wagner) Arenburg and is also the last surviving member of his immediate family. Harold was an accomplished salmon fisherman having taken many salmon from the LaHave River over many years. He is survived by his wife Laurene (Jodrey), New Germany; daughters Shirley Moore, Hemford; Dona (Billy) Keddy, Wileville; granddaughter Alissa (Jody) Veinot and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Harold is also predeceased by his brothers Burleigh, Randolph, Arnold, Basil, Raymond, Owen and Ronald; sister Mabel; a brother and sister in infancy; grandson Jason in infancy; son in law Richard and Clarence Jodrey Jr. Visitation and a celebration of his life will take place 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10 New Germany Thursday 17 January 2008. A private family burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, New Canada at a later date. No flowers by request, memorial donations in Harold’s memory may be made to the Rosedale Home for Special care Van Fund or the charity of choice.
