Obituary of Kenneth Hubert Nickerson

Kenneth Hubert Nickerson 86 of Centerville, Cape Sable Island passed away February 20, 2015 at Valley Regional Hospital. Kenny worked most of his life in the fishing industry and spent time doing carpentry work on Cape Sable Island. During baseball season you would find him watching and cheering on his favorite team, The Boston Red Soxs. Kenneth was the youngest son of the late Levi and Josephine (Huskins), Clam Point. He was predeceased by brothers Edgar and Donald; Sisters Thelma, Pauline, Erdine, Madeline and Doris. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janie (Jones); Son Timothy, wife Michelle, West Northfield; Granddaughters Samantha, Bridgewater, Sydney, Halifax; Step son Cory Jones, wife Sharon, Wileville. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Souwest Nova Transit, Barrington, Faith Christian Church, Centerville or to a charity of your choice. Funeral directions are under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
