Obituary of Phyllis Noreen Arenburg

of Phyllis Noreen Arenburg 91, Bridgewater. The family of Phyllis Noreen Arenburg, Bridgewater, sadly announce her passing August 8, 2008 at the Q E II Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Bridgewater, June 7, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lawson and Charlotte Albertha (Conrad) Manthorne. She was well loved and will be missed by her many friends and her family. She and Dad were active members of the Seabreeze Campers in Pinehurst for the past 27 years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Oscar Herbert; son, Dale (Pearl), Midville Branch; daughter, Paulette (Brian) Oickle, Ottawa; grandsons, Todd Arenburg (Anita MacDonald), Alan Arenburg (Patricia Brooks), Kevin Oickle (Jennifer Wales) and Lorne Oickle (Krista Matthews); great grandchildren, Katherine, Nathan, Devon, Ethan, Justin and Hayden; step great grandchildren, Christopher and Shaun; several nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her sisters, Lillian Carruthers, Dorothy Corkum, Laura Himmelman, Verna DuGrenier, Ruth Videto, Ellen Penny; brothers, Harry and Ralph. Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, Rev Willis Ott officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Arthur Patterson Restorative Care Center, Lunenburg or the Victorian Order of Nurses, Lunenburg County Branch.
