Obituary of Gertrude Louise Sinclair

Gertrude Louise "Trudie" Sinclair (Henley) Age 82, passed away quietly on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Brentwood Ponds Retirement Home, Brookfield, Colchester Co. Trudie was born on February 10, 1932, in Bridgewater; daughter of the late J. Kenneth and Bertha Mae (Cossar) Henley formerly of Chelsea. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of forty years, George; sister, Clara Marguerite Fancy and infant grandson, Jason Kyle. Trudie was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. Her passion was her flower garden where she spent countless hours over the years. She loved to tell the stories of her childhood growing up in the old house and general store in Chelsea. In Timberlea, she kept an immaculate home for George and their family. Trudie was most proud of 'the boys', as she called her sons, often reliving special moments in time as they grew up. She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her 'boys' and their families; Jeff (Coleen) of Bedford; Mark (Sue) of Maitland; Timothy (Tracey) of Brooks, Alberta; grandchildren, Emily, Hannah, Justin, Meagan, Haven, Sarah, Emma, Olivia and Ryan. Also left with lovely memories are her nephews and niece, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., with funeral service to begin at 11:30 a.m., in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. (902) 543-2587. Pastor Kaj Binderup officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Canada.
