Obituary of Ella Marie Snyder

Ella Marie (Webber) Snyder Age 90, passed away at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on February 19, 2015. Born in Scarsdale, Lunenburg Co., she was the youngest child in a family of eleven of Adam and Ella (Mossman) Webber. She is survived by daughters, Lucille (Cedric) Wentzell, Bridgewater; Linda (Claude) Meisner, West Northfield; Leverne Maughan, Italy Cross; Lillian (Jerry) Wentzell, Lower Branch; Leonore (Robin) Hirtle, Lapland; Lisa (Dave Watt) Gervais, Ottawa; son, Lawrence (Michelle) Snyder, Edmonton, AB. Sisters, Thelma Pierce, Halifax; Gertrude Veinot, Mahone Bay; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; several cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Eugene; sisters, Therza London, Frances Hubley, Zella Burns, Susan Webber in infancy and premature twins; brothers, LeRoy Webber, Franklin Webber; grandson, Glen. Marie loved the out-of-doors and gardening. She was a devoted member of Barss Corner United Baptist Church all her life. She was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society and Bible Study. Later in life she joined the New Germany New Horizons Seniors Club where she enjoyed many bus trips and fellowship of members. She spent many hours doing jigsaw puzzles with her friends at the Riverside Apartments in New Germany. Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m., Saturday, February 21 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2015, at the Barss Corner United Baptist Church, Barss Corner. Rev. Sam Jess officiating. A private family interment will take place following the funeral service in Barss Corner Community Cemetery, Barss Corner. No flowers by request, memorial donations may be made to Barss Corner United Baptist Church, New Horizons Seniors Club, New Germany or charity of choice.
