Obituary of David Lorne Barry

of David Lorne Barry 60, Maitland, passed away July 11, 2008, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Bridgewater, David was the son of the late Ray and Isabel Barry. David attended school in Mahone Bay, followed by a long career in various roles at National Sea Products in Lunenburg, until his retirement in 2003. Following retirement, David worked as a casual bus driver for the South Shore Regional School Board. In his spare time, David enjoyed picnics with his family, watching sports, working in the woods, going for car drives, and playing with his dogs and grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Josie; daughters, Denise (Jonathan), Melanie (David); grandchildren, Branwen, Baeddan, Braddox, Sydney, and Matthew. He was the eldest brother to Wayne (Dale) Barry, Phillip (Trudy) Barry, and sisters, Janet (Raymond) Hubley, Lynn (Harlie) Joudrey. Cremation has taken place. A ceremony and celebration of life with friends and family will take place on Wednesday, July 16, at 2 p.m. at the home of David and Josie, 115 Mill Rd., Maitland.
