Obituary of Dorothy Mae Thomas

Dorothy Mae Thomas Age 87, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Ryan Hall Nursing Home and Residential Care Facility, Bridgewater. Born on November 26, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Nellie (Bowles) Parker. Surviving are her son, Ken Thomas (Rhian Calcott), Bridgewater; daughter, Julia Ann Thomas (Bruce Bingham), Terrace, BC; grandchildren, Brittany Bingham, Terrace, BC; Ben Bingham, Calgary, AB; Owen Thomas, Ethan Thomas, Isaac Thomas and Bronwen Thomas, all of Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, S. Lewis Thomas; sister, Phyllis Cox. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Service of Remembrance will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 22 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Rev. David Campbell officiating. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia.
