Obituary of Althea Pauline Wentzell
Althea Pauline Wentzell - Age 87 of Branch LaHave passed away on Monday June 22, 2015 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Branch LaHave, she was the daughter of the late Leon Kenneth Whynot and Jestina Lomy (Bolivar) Whynot.
Althea is survived by her husband Laurie; Son Michael (Nikki) Wentzell of Auburndale, Daughter Shirley Elderkin, Calgary AB, foster daughter, Bonita Knickle, Medicine Hat AB; grandchildren, Adam (Tracy Spidle) Wentzell, Tasha Wentzell, Christopher Bell, Morgan (Daniel) (Bell) Buck, Brianna Elderkin, Jacob Elderkin; great-grandchildren, Ty Wentzell, Mara Bell, Zooey Bell; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Evadna Feener, Elaine Feener, Elfreda Oickle; brothers, Harold Whynot, and Warren Whynot in infancy.
All who knew her, knew of her many talents; her love of cooking, baking and sewing to name a few. Althea touched everyone’s heart who had the pleasure of meeting her throughout her long life. A complete Angel in every possible way, the most kind, patient, loving and selfless person. Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye, but your warm memories will always be with us. We loved you then, we love you now, we will love you forever.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m., Saturday, June 27 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday June 30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Bridgewater, Brother Larry Tiffany of Utah officiating. The family has requested family only at burial Hillside Cemetery, Branch LaHave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of choice.
