Obituary of Kenneth John Baker

Kenneth John Baker Another angel has gone home to rest… Kenneth Baker passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2016 at home. Born May 29, 1947 in Vogler’s Cove, he was the son of the late Arnold and Lena (Hartfield) Baker. Kenneth spent 32 years in the Coast Guard and the sea was in his blood. He is survived by his wife Susan (Reinhardt), son Robert and daughter Charity. Kenneth has 3 grandchildren who will miss him dearly, Brianna (Cameron Bell), R. Kenneth and Kaylee. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Michael (Joanne Whynot), Gregory and Darren (Elizabeth). He was predeceased by brothers, Richard and Kevin. Kenneth will also be missed by his many friends and extended family. Visitation will take place 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday August 16 at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Vogler’s Cove at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 17, Rev. Oliver Osmond officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Immediate family flowers only. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Mission to Seamen or the NS Heart and Stroke Foundation.
