Obituary of Sylvia Trethewey

Sylvia Emma Trethewey 81, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., died Thursday, September 12, 2002 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Pleasant River, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Hattie ( Herman ) Trethewey. During Sylvia’s working years, she was the supplier of baked goods for various local stores, and for past time enjoyed crocheting. Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Nelson) Ramey, Maplewood; Bonnie (Ken) Oickle, New Germany. Sons, Royce (Maxine) Waterman, Pleasant River; Earl (Dawn) Trethewey, Williamswood, Hfx, Co., many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Evelyn, her first husband Raymond Waterman and her second husband, Dick Trethewey. By Sylvia’s request, there will be no funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or charity of choice.
