Obituary of Maxwell Burnam Croft

Maxwell Burnam Croft Age 92, Bridgewater, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Crescent Beach, he was a son of the late Wilson and Bessie (Bell) Croft. Max was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 24, Bridgewater; Lunenburg County Amateur Radio Club (VE1MBC); South Shore Naval Association, Bridgewater Baptist Church, the former IOOF Riverside Lodge #60. Surviving is his wife, Emily Elizabeth (Weagle) Croft; daughters, Jeanette Croft, Kitchener, Ont.; Barbara (James) Stanley, Norton, NB; sons, Michael Croft (Nikki), Kentville; Jerome Croft, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Derrek Stanley, Devon Stanley, Dean Stanley, Kimberly Stanley, Sarah Croft, Sherry Croft, Brent Croft, Trevor Croft, Barbara Weeks, Jason Croft, Nathan Croft; step children, Wanda Wile, Western Shore; Karen Worthing, Pine Grove; Debbie Silver, Maitland; Paulette Crouse, Bridgewater; Wanda (Giffin) McCarthy, Conquerall Mills; Joanne (Robert) Clattenburg, Camperdown; step grandchildren, Chad Patterson, Craig Patterson, Telia Silver, AJ Silver, Tiffany Worthing, Courtney Worthing, Brandon Worthing, Rebecca Wile, Karen Weagle, Shari McCreanor, David Crouse, Tammy Arenburg, Nicole Wamboldt, Amanda Wamboldt, Janika Clattenburg, Rennick Clattenburg, Derek McCarthy, Ashley Conrad, Rhonda Silver; several step great-grandchildren; sister, Norma (Cecil) Corkum, Pleasantville; daughter in law, Denise Wamboldt, Camperdown; sisters in law, Marion Whynacht, Liverpool; Julie Johnson, Bridgewater, Shirley Gerhardt, Liverpool; brother in law, Willard Weagle, Middlewood; many wonderful friends with whom he was well loved by. He was predeceased by brother, Douglas Milage Croft; his previous wife, Mary (Conrad) Croft; step son, Max Wamboldt Jr. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 with public legion tribute service at 7 p.m., in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23 in Bridgewater Baptist Church, Bridgewater with Rev. Dr. Brian MacArthur officiating. Private family burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Donations to IWK Children’s Hospital, VON, charity of choice. Max was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he was well loved very much and we will think of him and miss him often - “Go in love”.
