Obituary of Robert Brian Grant

Robert "Bob" Brian Grant Age 73, Blockhouse passed away at home on Saturday January 9th, 2016. Born in Quebec and raised in Cape Breton he was the son of the late Robert and Irene (Lewis) Grant. Bob worked in retail for many years with Stedman’s Department Store in Ontario and the Maritimes, before settling in Lunenburg County. Retired from National Sea, in 2004, Bob enjoyed spending his days gardening, shopping and following sports. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Myrtle, brothers Addison, Edmonton and Dennis (Bonnie), Sydney; step-children Christine (Graham) Sarty, Conquerall Mills, LeRoy (Marcia) Fancy, Hebbville, Yvonne Fancy, Caledonia, his daughter Diane Lowe, Arnprior, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Errol “Shelley” (Sherry) Grant of Sydney Mines. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday January 14 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Conquerall Bank at a later date. Flowers from the immediate family only.
