Obituary of Marguerite Frances Hebb
Marguerite "Reta" Frances Hebb
Age 93 of Hebbs Cross, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Lapland, she was a daughter of the late Harvey William and Grace Matilda (Thompson) Crouse. Reta was a school teacher, having taught in the one room school houses around Lunenburg County; she was a founding member of the Hebbs Cross Willing Workers Club, member of the Hebbs Cross Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid; she was always willing to help in her community and offered many volunteer hours. Surviving are her daughters, Marianne Hebb, Kathy (George) Lohnes, all of Hebbs Cross; Janet (John) Postma, Bear River; Nancy (Bud) Webster, Baker Settlement; grandchildren, Jessica Sarty, Edward Lohnes, Matthew Lohnes, Solomon Lohnes, Sarin Marshall, Chelsae Postma, Naomi “Chickie” Webster; great grandchildren, Grace and Izaak Sarty, Shaylynn Carver-Lohnes, Kenna Carver-Lohnes, Raine Postma, Willow Marshall; sister, Barbie Pentz, Camperdown; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Melrose Hebb; daughter, Dianne Hebb; sister, Ada Hebb; brother, Jack Crouse. By personal request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in Christ Lutheran Church, Camperdown, with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers are accepted, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or Hebbs Cross Fire Department.
