Obituary of Brenton Bruce Holland
Brenton Bruce Holland
Age 57, Meisners Section, Lunenburg Co., passed away at home on Thursday, November 3, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Pearlie and Margaret (Eisnor) Holland. Brenton was President and co-owner, along with his brothers, David and Glenwood of Holland’s Carriers Limited, New Germany. Brenton’s life was his work but he was always able to balance his work life with his hobbies of going to car shows, ATV’ing, truck pulls, fishing, traveling throughout the Maritime Provinces, Canada and the United States for hunting adventures and traveling with his brother Glenwood to the NASCAR races. In his younger years, Brenton enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. Brenton was a kind and generous man who had an amazing number of friends who showed their love and support to him during his illness with all their visits to his home. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 102, New Germany. Surviving are his wife, Mary (Conn) Holland; daughter, Trina Gale, England; grandson, Justin Gale, Debert; sisters, Brenda (Marcus) Russell, Dale (Ronald) Penney, all of Barss Corner; brothers, David (Elaine), Oak Hill; Glenwood (Nicole), New Germany; many nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be 7-9 p.m., Sunday, November 6 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service followed by the Service of Remembrance and will be at 2 p.m., Monday, November 7 in Epworth United Church, New Germany with Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. Flowers accepted. Donations may be made to Epworth United Cemetery or New Germany and Area Medical Center.
