Obituary of Donald Richard Hudson

Donald Richard Hudson Age 86, Springfield, Annapolis Co., passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born on December 18, 1930 in Coaticook, Que., he was a son of the late Richard and Muriel (Warren) Hudson. Before moving to Springfield after retiring in 1989, he was employed with Ben’s Bakery. In his much younger years he was in the army for five years serving overseas in Germany. After moving to Springfield, he was an avid bowler, playing on a team in Bridgewater for many years until becoming ill. He will be dearly missed by his wife of almost 50 years, Pauline (Clattenburg); daughter, Donna d’Entremont (Mike Baker), Prospect; sons, Michael (Brenda), Dartmouth; Mark (Anne Marie), Bridgewater; grandchildren, Jacquelyn and Kurtis d’Entremont, Faith and Ranisha Hudson, Jason Hudson; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Bernice Garnier; granddaughter, Patricia Muriel. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 27 in Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Lloyd Gillieo will be officiating.
