Obituary of Cecil Ross Meisner

Cecil Ross Meisner Age 85 of New Germany, Lunenburg County, passed away on Saturday November 5, 2016 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Liverpool on March 23 1931, he was the son of the late Cecil and Ivy (Harding) Meisner. Ross is survived by his wife of 68 years, Vivian Marguerite (Silver); daughter Jean Hiltz, New Minas; sons Karl (Ruth) Meisner, Chelsea; Terry (Gaye) Meisner, Maplewood; brothers Ralph (Christine) Meisner, Conquerall Mills; Richard (Lynn) Meisner, Elliot Lake, Ontario; Gordon (Joanne) Meisner, Pine Grove; grandchildren Jody, Jamie, Chris, Kelly and Shannon; a number of great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Jean and brother George. Ross owned C. Ross Meisner Service Station Ltd (Irving Garage) from 1964 to 1989 and then built a new shop on Zwicker Mill Rd. along with his wife under R & V Auto Service Ltd until his retirement in 1996. Ross was an honorary member of the New Germany Fire Dept. with over 50 years of service with the Department .Ross enjoyed many summers camping and playing music with all his friends at Lahave River Campgrounds. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or public service. No flowers by request and memorial donations in Ross’s memory may be made to the New Germany Volunteer Fire Department or the New Germany Medical Centre.
