Obituary of Rita Millie Meisner

Rita Millie Meisner MEISNER (Carver) Rita Millie - Age 86, passed away peacefully Friday, September 23, 2016. Born in Newburne, Lunenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Idella May (Beck) and Sydney Nathaniel Carver. She will be fondly remembered for her gift to forgive before the day was over, her love of dancing, a life rich with a large circle of friends, her years of teaching in one room school houses in Lunenburg County and her love of nature. She is survived by her husband, Burpee, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 30 of this year; and, she was blessed to have him by her side until God called her home. She is also survived by daughter Sharri; son, Barri (Cindy); grandchildren Simon Bush and Lynsee (Johnny) Wall; great grandchild, Zayden Wall and brother Paul (Helen) Carver. She was predeceased by her grandson, Luke Meisner; brothers, veterans, Johnny (Agnes) Carver and Jimmy (Ruth) Carver, sisters Helen (Harold) Langille and Bernice (Bert) Milbury. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany, 11 a.m., Saturday, October 1 with Rev. David Whynot officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Crescent Beach, Green Bay and Area Society, Lahave; Rosedale Home for Special Care or Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany.
