Obituary of Michael Thomas Middleton

Michael Thomas Middleton The death occurred on Saturday, February 20, 2016 of Michael Thomas Middleton, 71 of Hebbville, NS, after a long illness. The second son of Keith and Barbara (Beney) Middleton, Michael was born in Vancouver, BC, on June 21, 1944. He studied at UBC and worked for 21 years at Terra Engineering Laboratories Ltd. He then had his own business; Pavetech Consultants Inc. Michael has lived in Nova Scotia for the past 21 years. After moving to Hebbville, he helped his partner set up and operate a logging business, William Hebb Woodlot Management. A whiz at math and brilliant at electronics, he embraced new technology which he seemed to have an innate ability to understand. As a hobby, he loved crosswords and could complete the NY Sunday Times crossword at a sitting, sometimes in pen. Michael was predeceased by brothers Murray and Martin. He is survived by his common law partner Jane (Hebb) Hartling; sister Muffet (Neil) Kirk; nephew Andrew Kirk both of North Vancouver; niece Naomi Kirk, Langley, BC and niece Sarah Middleton, Sanichton BC and Florida, USA. His body is in the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. At Michael’s request there will be no funeral. After the cremation his ashes will be taken to British Columbia.
